Wow - Dan is on the Late Night Show - I wonder if he's allowed to stay up that late?!!
Seriously, the marketing and promotional juggernaut has been released. I feel sorry for Dan, Emma and Rupert as for the next week or so they're going to be SO busy answering the same questions over and over and over and over ...

I will try very hard to watch some of these shows when they appear. Live with Regis and Kelly might be a tad difficult for me to, but the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O'Brien seem doable. But I as many others ask, what about Rupert? He is just as important. Well, hopefully we will hear something about him soon.

Thanks HPANA for the information.
Maybe Rupert just doesn't like doing these types of interviews. In the few interviews I've seen him do, he always seems VERY uncomfortable, and is often not really talkative. I'm sure there is interest from theses shows to talk with him, but it does require a level of enthusiasm for speaking that Rupert rarely demonstrates. Dan and Emma seem much more at ease and are much more animated when being interviewed.

I just want to say this.
Firstly, I do look forward to seeing Dan and Emma being interviewed.
That being said, I can't even muster up the energy to ask about Rupert, because when it comes to the media I'm not surprised anymore.
But, I do want to say this. I am a follower of Rupert interviews and while, he does indeed come across as very shy.
One thing I can say that I did love about him doing DL (which I saw at Tribeca on the day he was there.) When he did do interviews, he did talk. He was funny and endearing as always and it get him an opportunity to talk about stuff that's not HP related.
I've noticed that when interviewers get him to do something active, it loosens him up a bit. I've seen interviews where he's gone go-karting, driving (in the US,) did some bowling, played video games, and went cab hail and pizza eating in NY.
He's done Moviefone before, where he talked about being a "crap dancer," his first screen kiss (he talked about it in NY as well...), what he liked about movies in general, and that he isn't the most up front confident person (such an awwwww moment.)
So, note to future interviewer, want a cool interview, challenge him to some pool or some golf. He still may not talk as much, but competitive Rupert is fun to watch. And he comes across a lot more relaxed.
Also, ask the same boring question, get the same answer. I can't recall where, but there is a radio interview where the guy asks Rupert questions in such a precise way, that he couldn't evade them if he tried.
I'm working on the art of interviewing Rupert. I do believe that there is a method based on my observations.
I've also noticed that cute female interviewers seems to bring out the charm a bit more.

Wow. We;re going to be backed up with clips. Interestign that Rpert keeps away from these things - I think I would too if I were him. Far too much public eye. I think by him stepping back a bit he's going more control over his private life.

Bright Eyes,
I like your perspective and it's one I'd like to entertain as well.
Just like I've said, some of my favorite interviews with him aren't interview-like at all.
PS, hahaha, your avie scares me. It's bad enough I was afraid of "IT" when it came out.

AJ, yeahm it is quite od, but I love it. Something different. Agreed, I can't stand stilted interviews. There are a lot of people who call themselves 'interviewers' but really they are just presenters. I don't know whereabouts you're from but in Australia there's a guy called Andrew Denton who is an amazing interviewer. He guides the interview rather than force qustions upon them.
