JK Rowling has updated
her diary section on her site with some words of wisdom for all "Harry Potter" fans.
JK's message to fans:
We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!
We agree with JK’s sentiments wholeheartedly & request that members not post anything in the comments section on the site about the book. Only 3 more days to go till we all know all there is know about the book.

I just love JK. She is so heartfelt in keeping this a secret to her true fans. I wish that people would not try and spoil it for everyone. Unfortunately people just like to ruin things for people. I am glad that JK is saying that this is not okay, and she is right we will know soon enough.

I will definately follow her advice. It's only a few days and I will ignore the press until I finish reading the book. Can't wait! I pre-ordered it from my local store... I am gonna go there on 12:01 and buy it. Yeah, that is a good advice! By doing this, I'm along with many others here are true Potter fans.

You know, those of us who love Potter also love Jo. And as much as we are dying to know "everything," it appears that most of us want to wait and find out "everything" together, just as intended. I've only had to fight one or two short-lived impulses to research the online leaks. I'm excited about Friday night.

The way she said "EVERYTHING!" with big letters... oh, that gave me goosebumps. I can't believe we will know everything, after all these years of waiting. With one day, it will all be over with. I don't want that day to be ruined, so I'm glad everyone is being so cautious about spoilers.

Jo is so nice. I think that it's terrible that people purposely try to ruin the book for other people. I especially hate when people do drive by "spoilers" at the release. But that being said I love the spoilers. I love to read all the spoilers and then see which one is right, though I would never spoil it for anyone else. I think that is so rude! If you don't want to know, you don't want to know and people should respect that.

Exactly what i've been saying. Why can't they wait? It's only three more days! And of they manage to fidn out something, why not keep it to themselves? The rest of us don't want to know until we are actually reading the book! Stop trying to ruin it for us.

I completely agree! Its worth the wait to find out! Its kind of exciting to have something to look forward to sooo much! I'm avoiding the internet the next few days so I don't see anything about the book that might ruin it for me. I might come on here though since they have the security settings in place!
