JK Rowling has updated
her diary section on her site with some words of wisdom for all "Harry Potter" fans.
JK's message to fans:
We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!
We agree with JK’s sentiments wholeheartedly & request that members not post anything in the comments section on the site about the book. Only 3 more days to go till we all know all there is know about the book.

Awesome! I completely agree with her. I really dislike the fact that certain individuals are trying to ruin the reading experience for everyone by posting what "supposebly" is the real story online. Only a few more days. If I have waited this long for the final book then I can wait a few more days. Let's all ignore what the media has to say and enjoy the rest of HP.

First post! Finally!
I'd just like to say I totally agree with JK. Misinformation, that's what it is. Spoilers are not true Potter fans, just mischievous.
"You will know everything"... Wonder if that's a clue?

I completly agree with JK. I tend to ignore all 'scans' of the book, cos I doubt any of it's true, & I just want to read the book myself.

YOu will know EVERYTHING made me feel a rock drop into my stomach. It's like Christmas when you're a kid...soooo excited but at the same time I'm dreading it because I will know everything and then...it's over. 10 years and it's over.

Yes, I'm glad she posted that. However...a little past midnight last night, HPANA revealed some of the chapter titles! I see that the post has since been removed, but I'm a little dissapointed. I thought "Surely with all their spoiler alerts in place, how did this get buy?" However, I saw a few titles, but I'll refrain from mentioning them.

Its soooo close now, I am re-reading HBP and just reading it keeps making me think of the last book...its unbelievable its finally nearly here!!
I hope so much that I and everyone is not spoiled this time..for some reason the last two boooks have been slightly spoiled for me as I kept seing things and kinda half heartidly believed time. Not this time. I will go mad to whoever or whatever spoiles it for me....i mean for HBP my friend had to put up with some guy roaring out you-know-what(You can guess) I mean..how horrible is that?? I`d say I would get really angry at that person!!
I have to say thanks to HPANA for what they are doing. I hope no spoilers come on the internet but just in case I wont be on here friday at all.I also hope that the mods don`t get spoiled helping us not to get spoiled!! =]
And I too loved the way she wrote EVERYTHING...I will be going insane friday night I can`t WAIT!!!!!

I'm glad she got the chance to write that before the book came out. It's so close now and I really want to wait till I can read it myself. I don't want it to be spoiled. It's really sad though knowing this will be the last book.

Darn right! I cannot believe people are doing this to her. After the hard work that she has put onto these books, 17 years to be exact, it is completely unfair that these people are leaking the information of the last book.
She's right, by the way. As Potter fans, it is our duty to preserve the secrecy. Good of this site for putting the protection policies.

I too am trying to keep busy till the book comes out. I've been reading HBP and watching Naruto. I don't want to know anything about the book until it comes out. I'm already thinking I want to be listening to my ipod in the book store so I don't over hear people talking or reading out loud.

Well that would be a guilt trip for any fan who wanted to reveal the plot. I know I won't be talking about it at school. I would hate to spoil the ending for anybody else.
Thanks Jo, I can't wait!

I can't wait!!! I just can't wait!!! It's so close; I can almost smell that new book smell! The book is going to be one of the best birthday presents I'll ever get!!! Thank you Jo!!! You've given us all so much over the last 10 years! Thank you!!!
In 2 days, it's all over... *sobs*
I hope none of us get spoilt! As Jo said, we should preserve secrecy, and stand together, united with the wish of not being spoilt.
I'd just like to thank the mods for all they've done and all the hardwork they're putting in to keeping us spoiler free! Thank you so much!
I wish everyone a happy July 21st, for when the day comes! Enjoy yourselves! Remember to cherish that first moment when you finally hold the book in your hands! Have an amazing time! [Whatever the outcome!]
In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!

Oh my goodness gracious!!!!! I'm so unbelievably excited that it is hardly comical. (bounces on balls of feet) I support Jo in saying to keep it all secret. It doesn't need to be known until the date of publication. I think that we are all capable of waiting for three days to read then end of our delighted book.

Good for JK, to post something like that. It irks me that people would try to ruin it for everyone else.
I mean what is the point of it?
But soon enough we will all know what the book has to offer us :)

its nice being able to come to a site where, while I have to be somewhat on gaurd, I dont have to be completely paranoid. And I think Mrs. Rowling is completely correct in asking all fans to help her and preserve the book. Even still though, one of the reasons im getting it delivered is so I dont have to endure people who will try to spoil it.
Anyway, in the words of Mad Eye Moody "Constant Vigalance!"
