Contrary to numerous web site stories Naomi Watts, Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend are not
scheduled to appear in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie, according to their representatives.
Filming for the movie is set to start in late September and casting news should be announced in the coming weeks. Please don't believe everything you read on the web until official word is released.

I haven't given much thought to who should fill the slots for the new characters in HBP. There are so many new actors available to choose from.
I can only hope that the choices are made with adhearance to the book and not because of the popularity of the actors themselves.

Alright, I kinda figured they wouldn't be in it because it wasn't officially confirmed by WB. I am looking forward to the actors and actresses they've cast as the new characters though, that should be interesting. So far I think every charcter has been perfectly cast, so I have complete faith in the decisions made by WB.

I never spend much time reading the rumours about the cast. I appreciated the progress done in 'Order of the Phoenix' regarding the respect of the original plot and characters, and hope that similar progress will be the concern of the director while shooting 'Half Blood Prince' even if cuts and modifications remain unavoidable.

Not surprised that Lord Voldemmort will be omitted, as it is more about Harry & the Half-Blood Prince. Obviously would expect Ralph Fiennes to be back for the last film.

Aside... there are going to be a good amount of good-looking women in movie six, won't there? I think this could be the movie that truly brings the Potter franchise a devoted fan base if they do it right.
