A new New Wizard of the Month
for October has been added on JK Rowling's web site.
Harry Potter
(1980 - )
The Boy Who Lived, only known survivor of the Avada Kedavra curse and conqueror of Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Riddle. Harry Potter joined the reshuffled Auror Department under Kingsley Shacklebolt at age 17, rising to become Head of said department in 2007.

Very cool! I wonder why J.K. did not put what he did as a career in the book. Oh well, it's nice to see what he has been doing all these years. I just hope that Jo places all the others as wizards of the months as well. Good for Harry and I hope that he is doing well with Ginny and the kids.

Great! A high school drop-out as head of Magical Law Enforcement. Not exactly a stellar showing for Jo, her hero or the world she created.
I guess because Harry used the Elder Wand and defeated LV, he has nothing more to learn. No Newts required for Harry to start Auror traning, unlike everyone else. He must be above such things now.
Jo should be ashamed of herself.

I thought Harry would be the next wizard of the month. Who was head of the department between Harry joining aged 17 and when he was 27? I thought Kingsley became Minister for Magic straight away.
