A photgraph and profile of Scarlett can be found on the casting agency's website, located here
.

SlytherinHeiress says:
So many people have said "she's too pretty," but I really doubt Draco Malfoy would even acknowledge her existence if she wasn't pretty. Besides, she's not that pretty anyway. The book says she has a pug face, and this girl has a pug face. I disagree that she looks nice. I think she looks very mean. I think she's just perfect!

I don't know whether I like her or not. I guess I would have to see her act first. I don't usually judge people by what they look like. I guess though she does fit the describtion somewhat. Have to watch for the movie. Can't wait!!!!

She is just right! There is something about her look that just hits you. It must be the eyes! She hasn't done much acting as stated on her profile, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. When has Warner Brothers made a mistake look a Luna she was the best!

What happened to keeping Genevieve Gaunt?
HUH???!!!???
What is wrong with these people!!! Why can't they pick one actor and keep them for the whole lot?
This really grates my nerves.
Genevieve made a fab Pansy. They should have stuck with her.
But I guess they don't give a rats **** about "supporting characters", look at the pavarti twins. I guess they think they can get away with swapping and changing everyone else and none of the fans will notice!
HMPH!!!!!

HufflepuffActress says:
I never thought Pansy would be ugly but her meanness would make her unattractive.
But what I don’t understand is why they should cast Pansy and leave out the Gaunts.
Is that for sure because that seems to be the buzz but I do not remember seeing any confirmation by Warner Bros. Stalk me if you know of any announcement I have missed.
Congratulations Alisha on your first news post!

Livian Silver I have to agree with you about the recasting of characters. I can understand if an actor did not want to return but it has happened to many times to make me think it is all about actor’s choice. They recast the Patil Twins after POA and GOF was out so they knew it would be a reoccurring part with a larger role. Who knows?

I was use to the other actress as playing Pansy, but she looks great for the part. In the picture, I'm sure it is not intentional, has this attitude sly look to her face. It's cute.

Why aren't they using the same girl from the picture that KarateKid posted? I wonder what happened to her? Still this new girl seems okay. I like her eyes, they look menacing. Hopefully, WB will confirm and then we will know for sure.

What happened to the previous Pansy? Oh well...she really isn't a major character. If there is a change it won't be that noticed. This girl looks ok too. And it is just rumor...for now.

She is really a very pretty girl and to me does not seem to fit the picture in my mind of Pansy from the books.
Oh well we are getting use to major departures from the books.

Wow, that's exciting. She's really pretty, maybe a little too pretty. I've never heard of her though of course, but in no time, I'm sure I'll know her name.

I really liked the old Pansy, with the bob cut and everything.
But because she has a bigger part they have obviously re-cast, hopefully she does well! (if this is true)

Hey Ron's all up in heRmiONe, I too thought that they already had their Pansy cast. I liked the girl they used in POA. I think this new girl looked kinda old for the part, but it could just be me. Congrats to her if she get it though.

Livian Silver I totally agree with you. It's not that Scarlett Byrne will play a bad Pansy (She looks kind of Pasny-ish :)) but I like the idea of having the one and original actress playing the character. I think it's weird that the character suddenly looks different. I like Genevieve Gaunt playing Pansy, I thought she was fine. I checked out a Genevieve fansite.
Yeah, I guess when a minor character gets big, they recast the actor. But I think it has happened to many times...
But congrats the Scarlett. :)
