'Order of the Phoenix' receives 6 Empire Awards nominations

The fifth movie in the Harry Potter franchise, Order of the Phoenix, has received
six nominations in this year's Sony Ericsson Empire Awards 2008. Actors Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are both named in the best actor/actress categories, while director for David Yates is included in the best director category.
The film is also included in the best sci-fi/fantasy film, best film and best soundtrack categories respectively.
To vote you must register (for free) on their site. Voting ends on February 25th, 2008.

I'm glad that the 'best director' is recognized in the Empire Awards; in the movie 'Wag the Dog' one of the main reasons a crucial character is deranged is because he is a successful director who is never recognized by the traditional awards (because they don't have a director category). Of course, the actors deserve their awards as well; this movie was my favorite of them all, so far.

Great job Harry Potter. Good luck. I hope Dan and Emma both win. but why didn't Rupert get a nomination? He's always getting the short end of the stick. It really sucks, he's just as good as they are.

I'm happy for them, but I really want Rupert to be in one of the nominations. It's sad. Rupert is such a great actor and he may not be the most popular of the three but he still deserves his props. But anyway, I still hope they win. But I wont be surprised because they always win. ^_^

Yet again, Rupert has not been nominated for any award. I bet he's happy though. He really hasn't won any award when he's up against Dan(The NMA's for example). I'd rather not be nominated than lose to my co-star/friend. I guess some people don't see what a talented actor Rupert is.
I already voted for HP, Dan and Emma, I hope they win. I think HP has a very good chance of winning, I guess we just have to wait and see. I hope the trio go to the awards show, I would love to see new up to date pics of them!
