Filming of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie started today at Gloucester Cathedral. Stars already arriving
include Alan Rickman, who plays Professor Snape, Dame Maggie Smith, who plays Professor McGonagall, and Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy.
An early report states:
I saw them pouring vividly-coloured soup into bowls, with different food colourings ready to be added. It looked as though they could only be getting potions ready.
You can see some preparation pictures here of the filming and of the actors here.
Filming is expected to continue through tomorrow, Friday, February 8th. If you happen to attended please send a report or pictures our way.

UPDATE II: Two new film reports with pictures can be seen here here. It should also be noted that one of the reports state that actress Emma Watson hasn't been seen filming at the area.

It's nice to see they have started filming. I'm so excited. The pics are awesome, love the Alan ones! I wish they had got a few more photo's of them all though. I wonder what scenes they were filming, any one have any ideas?

It interesting to see how different Alan Rickman looks in and out of the Snape make-up. While he has a easily identifiable face the long black hair makes him Snape.
I wonder if the pictures of the Ron/Draco look a-likes are stand-ins or stunt people.
Grr. I had another thought just as I pushed the post button.
The site they are films is so picturesque it makes me wish even more that I could be in the Harry Potter movies.
HPB comes out this year!!!
