According to Clémence Poésy her character Fleur Delacour will not be making
in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is currently being filmed in the UK.
Ms. Poésy, currently doing promotion for her new movie, In Bruges, which also stars Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes, discusses having not finished reading the last three books, which she hopes to do soon during her vacation, and discusses working once again with her fellow Potter actors.

Wow... That means either no wedding or just everything about the wedding randomly introduced in Deathly Hallows. I suppose it is possible that she is too busy right now, and someone else might do the part. Ah, its not like I expected any less. Hopefully they'll still have lots of other characters like Scrimgeour and the Gaunts.

This is just the first sign that I will probably be just as disappointed with HBP as I was with OoP.
They keep cutting out all the things that make the books memorable. Too bad.
I'm hoping that someday, after all the movies are made, someone will re-do them, maybe for tv, and actually stick to the story as the books get longer and not cut anything out.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

No excess of phlegm in HBP? Oh well I never expect the movies to quite live up to the brilliance of the books but I'm sure it'll be strong in it's own way. I did enjoy the Fleur parts of the book, though.
Does this mean that Bill wont be in it at all? What about the scenes at the end after Bill met up with Greyback? Hmm... it's always a guessing game until the movie premieres anyway.

I was looking forward to her scenes with Molly. So this does not make sense to cut out her character, because obviously the director of Deathly Hallows is going to have some trouble.

How can Fleur not be in the HBP movie? I guess she's kind of like Percy - expendable, but at the same time, a nice plot point.
That brings up another question. Are we going to see Percy in this one, or is he going to be cut from the movie again? I think the fact that he estranged himself from his family is kinda important, and we should establish it before getting to the seventh movie, when he definitely has to make an appearance.

So Cho will be in the movie and not Fleur? So does this mean there will be no Bill? So I wonder if Harry will go to the burrow or Dumbledore will pick him up so see Slughorn and then on to Hogwarts.

I was just about this the other day. I wonderd if they were going to have Fleur in this movie and if yes, would they be using Clemence Poesy. I guess this answers my question.

I wish I could see In Bruges. And I wish she was in HBP, she was so amazing in Goblet of Fire. I'm just mad that they aren't going to have the wedding though...at least that's what it looks like...

Seems to be a dangling italics tag on this page somewhere... [/i] Maybe that'll fix it. Anyway...
Why on earth would they cut the Bill/Fleur subplot? Have they READ DH at all? I have to say, I've gotten more and more disappointed with the movies... I guess in a decade or so I'll just have to hope that someone redoes them properly, if that means that the set of seven takes a week to watch then so be it. I'll end with the comment I've made many times since seeing OotP and reading DH - they can't get there from here. :-P

No talk of the wedding, will Bill get attacked? Will we even see Bill?
I'm not liking everything they're cutting out.
Just saying, the wedding better be in DH or I'll be majorly upset.

WHAT! OH MY GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
What about FINALLY MEETING BILL! Or are they just going to pretend that he doesn't even exist!
GRR! WHAT ABOUT THE WEDDING? THAT'S HOW THE WHOLE OUTRAGE STARTS IN BOOK SEVEN!
This is so crap.
I really hate when they do this to the movies, they just cut out all the important information that is RELEVANT TO FUTURE BOOKS, cut out all the GREAT LINES and everything that makes READING the books WORTHWHILE!
String what they call "Half-Blood Prince" or "Order of the Phoenix" and go: "Here you go dedicated, die-hard harry potter fans and everyone else who just goes and see's the movie. Here's the adaptation to the book!"
NO! BECAUSE IT'S SO NOT!
Sorry. I just hate it when Warner Brothers does this, and she was such a great Fleur aswell. I was looking forward to seeing her again.
Damn movies.

Oh no. The scene with Molly and Fleur and Bill near the end of HBP was one of the most touching moments for me. As people above have said, they keep cutting out the things that make me enjoy the books so much. I only feel sorry for those who see the movies and then do not read the books because they think they know the story already.

That sucks! I hope this doesn't mean that Bill won't be in it as well because that might mean that they won't even introduce Greyback. Maybe they'll find another young French actress.

As much as I would have loved to see the Fleur/Bill story line, I can kind of see where the writers are coming from. They've maintained from the start that the films are 'Harry Potter and the ...', and as such, anything that doesn't directly affect his character is likely to get cut.
I'm not saying that I agree with it, but I can see their reasoning. It must be an absolute nightmare trying to adapt the books into a two hour screenplay, and something has to give somewhere. The films, much like the books, are almost 100% Harry's POV - it's rare that he's not centre-stage.
