During the BAFTA's this weekend, Harry Potter baddie, Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), discussed
his disappointment at not appearing in Half-Blood Prince but is hoping to return for the Deathly Hallows movie.
I hope I'm coming back for seven. Dan's going to Broadway to do his play for a long time, so I don't know when or if I'm going to come back. But I'll be even more bitter if I don't get to return for seven!
Isaacs also told us how positive the Harry Potter experience was for him and many of the actors involved. Everybody likes each other and knows each other. The whole thing goes very easily and there's none of the normal tension you have on films wondering about whether it'll work, because we know it works.

Ofcourse..there will be no tension between them as they know each other for so many years....(except the new ones...;D)

I. too. will be most perturbed and bitter if Jason does not make a return to the movies. Lucius is a major character! Maybe if the 7th movie is split he'll have a better chance.

No archangel, I don't think he's in the 6th book. I'm pretty sure Lucias Malfoy is in Azkaban. He gets out in the seventh book. I'm sure Jason Isaaks will be returning for that one. The Malfoys play a big part in the seventh book. It'll be really cool to watch all seven movies together.

I do hope desperately that Jason Isaacs returns in full glory to reprise his role as Lucius Malfoy in the seventh and final film. It would be an enormous pity if he weren't in it, as his character truly becomes one with which you can empathize in that book.
Besides, the fangirls would be raging. Terribly. And Warner Brothers has learned this particular lesson the hard way already. :P

Well isn't Lucius supposed to be in prison then. It wouldn't make sense he would be in the Movie. He does have a role in DH though.
They never said Lucius wouldn't be in DH. They never said he wouldn't play Lucius. They said that Lucius isn't in HBP and Isaaks is upset about it. PEOPLE LUCIUS IS IN AZKABAN. He can't be in HBP.

I am sure that Jason will return for DH, however, if DH is to be just one film that lasts two hours, Lucius's role may be cut considerably to one scene in the manor and the battle of Hogwarts.

Oh wow, I did not even know that he wasnt going to be in the sixth movie. That kind of disappoints me but I am really glad that he is going to be in the seventh movie. I cannot really even begin to imagine anyone else playing Lucius. He really is perfect for the part.

I figured he wouldn't be around in HBP because he was safetly locked away in Azkaban. But he better be in DH... he is an amazing Lucius and I need to see him one more time on the big screen. And I hope they show the Malfoy Manor too. I bet it's pretty swanky!

Lucius Malfoy has to be in the final book unless they plan on cutting the whole part of the book in Malfoy Manor, and that is something I definately want to see.
He has to have the chance to redeem himself.
