UPDATE: 'Harry Potter' anime coming to TV in 2012

It is expected to be announced today that an agreement between Warner Bros., JK Rowling and Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, has been reached for the development of a Harry Potter anime TV series to air on ABC Family in the U.S. starting in the fall of 2012.
Although they have not yet been made public, HPANA has learned that the basic concept drawings have Harry looking a bit like a young Goku (without the tail); Dumbledore looks like a cross between Master Roshi and Bulma's father; and Hagrid looks a bit like Dragon Ball Z's Ox King.
Rowling has apparently requested some minor changes be made to the renderings before they are released. We will, of course, post copies here as soon as they are made available.
(A live-action Dragon Ball movie is slated for 2009.)
UPDATE: Further information and even some initial sketches
are now available online.

Its just another way to cash in on Harry Potter.
It is weird to have a cartoon Harry Potter, and a Dragon Ball Z style anime at that!
I don't think its something I'd watch, not a big fan of Dragon Ball Z....
However, I don't really object to a cartoon HP series, its just the whole Dragon Ball Z thing... I hate it when people see the movies and think Harry Potter is a kids' thing, and only little kids watch the movies...

However if it is true i live in England so wouldn't get it over here anyway and to be honest i don't think i would watch it if i was in the USA and am not sure how they would do it!!!
