We now have confirmation from Warner Bros. on reports this morning from various movie sites
that the first of the two films will hit theatres on November 19, 2010.

Why cant they just release it as one big movie in the summer of 2011? I'd be much happier with that. I know that it is for the money that they are releasing it into two parts because they could have easily seen that the Harry Potter fans would be fine with sitting for a long period of time. Or, release it as two films, but release them closer to each other. That would be funny to see some theaters have Harry Potter 7 on like 5 to 6 screens and have like no room to show anything else. How rediculus!!!

Oy, that leaves us without a movie for a whole year! I'm gonna cry!!!!
I wonder if they will film the whole thing at once, like LotR.

Thats pretty wicked. I hope they do really good justice to the books because it would be really hard to make a good movie cutting a lot out from the books...! But im still excited to see what they come up with.

i'm REALLY glad they decided to split the last book into two movies... so they don't miss or leave out important parts. It's the last book to the sequal and then it will be OVER. I'd hate to see the day :(. Half Blod Prince is coming up soon and the books are done. We only have movies left. At least we have minimum 2 more years left. I'm really looking forward to the movies. I hope they do a good job !

Oops forgot you can not edit.
But I have to wonder when they will make the split so there can be two movies. Dobby’s death maybe or after they break into Gringotts.

That seems like a long time to wait but hopefully it will be worth it.
When the last film comes out they will have been making HP films for ten years. That seems like a long time. Bit then again the Indiana Jones and Star Wars films were spread over a even longer time.
