Some new images from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie have appeared online. The images show Snape, Malfoy & Filch and the trio in different locations.
Also, word has come from Emma Thompson's representatives that Sibyll Trelawney will not be appearing
in the movie.

And apparently Draco will be wearing a suit at Hogwarts I suppose Lucius wouldn’t allow him to wear jeans and a tee-shirt.

I'm getting so excited about the new movie! I can't say I'm too upset that Trelawney, though. I know she's sort of important in that she's the one who makes the prediction about Harry and Voldemort, but is she really all that necessary in the whole scheme of things? Don't get me wrong, I think Emma Thompson has done a great job of portraying her in the films, but to be honest, I find Trelawney annoying...

And why the hell is Trelawney cut? She's the one who makes the prophecy! She's important up to the stage of DH why is she cut!!

Although I'm pleased that we have received these pictures, I'm also surprised to learn that Trelawney's character has been omitted entirely from the film. Is this indicative of the possibility that it will never be explicitly stated in the films that she was the one who delivered the actual prophecy in the first place? I still hope at least that the script mentions that Snape overheard the prophecy being made, as this moment is crucial in the development of things in the trilogy as well as in the complexity of Snape's character.
I just hope they bring her back for the climax of the Half-Blood Prince, because she was amazing there.

I'm totally gutted that Emma Thompson isn't going to be in HBP! I loved Trelawney's character and Emma does such a great job playing her. Trelawney's part in HBP was quite important, I hate how much they always cut from the HP movies. I am really annoyed.
On a happier note I love the new pics and Draco's hair looks awesome.

But that last picture from BlogHogwarts, with Malfoy walking away from Snape, i can almost gaurentee that is when they're having their argument that harry over hears during Slughorn's christmas party. The one above that looked to be that the trio was in Ron's room? Posisbly?

No Trelawney? But she comes into her own in this book! Doesn't surprise me they'd leave such an important scene out anyway, they'll probably leave out the whole information that Harry finds out about Snape overhearing the prophecy from Sybil. If they bother to include it at all!
