In a new interview Warwick Davis from the Harry Potter movies recently discussed
the decision to split the seventh novel Deathly Hallows into two films as well as his brief appearance in the next movie, Half-Blood Prince.
Mr. Davis on the movie 7 split:
I think that’s a good idea because when you try and squeeze these quite lengthy novels into a two-hour movie, a two-and a half hour film there is gonna be stuff that’s left out. There’s so much in the last book, I think it’ll make two really good films. It’s worthy of that.
On his role in the Half-Blood Prince movie:
My character seems to get involved in fun stuff now. I’ve had an immensely enjoyable time again. It’s a real honor to be a part of number 6.
UPDATE: MTV has taken the original interview offline. We're investigating.

Warwick Davis is always great in everything he's in. The first movie I saw him in was Willow, which was my favorite movie for a good part of my childhood.

I loved reading this interview because it really got me excited about the last movie(s)! From what Warwick Davis said, it sounds like the scenes with Griphook will be really exciting! I personally think that the movie should be split sometime right around the time when Ron leaves Hermione and Harry. I stopped reading the book around there, so I think it's a point of really high excitement. Maybe right after the scene in Godric's Hollow when Harry encounters Voldemort would be the ideal place! I can't wait!

Interesting views. Still think they should have done one long movie. But we will need to wait for the results to see if it was worth it.

It's always cool to get the actors point of view on the movies, not just the fans. Because it is them doing it.

YAY! I think the 7th movie spit is a good idea too... but I have a question. Will the movie be realeased on 2 different days? Or will they be released on the same day, just split in two? (Like Titanic)

I think it was a good idea to make the seventh movie into two parts. It will be for the better and they are't that far apart from each other.

I have to agree that splitting the movie is a very good idea. It would have been a real shame to go see the last film and be disapointed with it.

Ah....yes,I like Warwick Davis especially the way he portrays Prof. Flitwick.I'm glad he's going to be in the upcomng film.Nice comment and I really agree with him, that it will be better that the final installment will be split into two flms.I mean that being, will make the film more true to the book and to give it justice till the end.A worthy ending...I just do hope they won't cut the HHr kiss in the 7th film.

I love Warwick - he is one of Britain's most enduring character actors, and very talented. I loved him in "Extras" and he has been an integral part of the Harry Potter movies. I was worried when I first saw this as I thought he was CUT from the next movie!
PHEW! Glad he's still here with us!

Actually the interviewer was part right Verne Troyer physically played Griphook but Warwick Davis did voice Griphook.

Thats a really good idea to split the last movie into two seperate films because theres so much that goes on... Ive always thought that thats how all the movies should of been, split so that almost every detail of the books could be explained.

I'm glad that Warwick Davis will be back as Professor Flitwick in Half Blood Prince. I also agree with him in splitting the 7th book into two films. I wasn't keen on that idea at first, but I want the final film to be as book accurate as possible, because there is a lot in there. Actually, I just wish it would never end. Long Live Harry Potter.

Yeah, it'll make two really good films and tons of money too. But i really don't mind as long as nothing important is left out.
They should have done that with the other ones too... or at least the fifth and the sixth film.
My character seems to get involved in fun stuff now.
Didn't he always... 1o1 oh, i think he's really cool.
