Well of course we all flocked to read any little snippet of the Harry Potter story that was hadn't been privy too yet. And since most of us are so fascinated with the Maurauders that was just an added bonus.

Whoohoo, I love that it's available to read online! I haven't read it yet, but I think I'm going to right now! It's really quite intrigueing.. I was reading Deathly Hallows the other day, and when I got to the part where Harry is in Sirius' bedroom reading the letter that Lily had written Sirius right after Harry's first birthday, I found it amazing the fact that I had never before thought of Harry's life with his parents. I am very glad to be able to read the prequel.

The only person that I know whose handwriting is worse the JKR's is mine.
I don't remember who it was that transcribed it for us on that other posting but I'd like to thank them again. It made it a lot easier to read.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Certainly there will be more visitor over the weeks to come. I liked JK's humour in this short prequel, it's quite close to that of the series. Harry has definitely inherited his father's nerve.

Although the small handwriting made it a bit difficult i read it from the card! It amazes me that she just sat down and wrote out the whole story on this index card in an hour(it was an hour wasn't it?) I am by no means comparing myslef to Jo in any way, but when I handwrite things I am always going back to scribble out a section or and words, etc. I know she didn't have time to edit but the way it is written really seems near perfect already! Obviously Jo's creative genius and practice writing are to thank for this ability, but I wonder if she really did have this all organized in her head before she went in? It would be interesting to know how a literary legend works.

Huh, I had no trouble reading the handwriting, I thought it was quite clear and consistent... at least compared to my scrawl! I too was one of those 70,000, and when the book version is printed I'll get my butt to Waterstones in - erm - I think I'll be in Cardiff at that point, so wooooo! :-D
