There’s a fair amount of sexual energy and drug parallels. We have a couple of Trainspotting moments.

That’s two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath.

We’re opening with a big attack. We’ll bring a major London landmark crashing down.

I guess he's talking about a certain bridge that was mentioned in the books?

Finally were getting some news, hope it doesnt stop.
I think its kinda stupid of them to add scenes which arent in the books, whatever for? And the worst is that they will probably cut something important or interesting for it which really did happen (in the books).

Merlin's Beard! I think i know which London landmark this might be! The Millennium Bridge! There was a report ages ago about there being filming there, with none of the main cast but with extras and some stunt men falling into the water!
It would make sense too! :D

That really makes me want to see the movie, even more than I already did. Never would of thought HP and Trainspotting would be put in the same sentence like that.

Hmmm... I was really excited about this movie, and now, I'm not so sure.. I mean, please just stick to the book! The movies are already not like the books when they ARE TRYING to stick to the books! And come on, Harry Potter is a magical tale that is Dark and good and has twists and turns, and you never know what to expect... and now they are turning it into some big romance with landmarks crashing down, and *breathes heavily* I understand they are now teenagers, but I was always worried they might mess up this movie. Well, I didn't even see it yet, so I won't worry yet...

I'm not familiar with Trainspotting--so I can't comment on that. But Tikihaha had it right--chapter 1 of the book talks about the destruction of a bridge. So I can totally see translating that to an opening scene to really grab the audience.

I can't wait to see this film..Yates has got me wondering!!
