Thanks to intrepid sleuths, careful examination of the teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince reveals what looks like the first image of renegade werewolf Fenrir Greyback and -- near the end of the video -- the "avada kedavra" of a certain major character.
First, the werewolf who infected Remus Lupin is seen briefly growling and prowling in the tall grass... Fenrir Greyback? You be the judge:
(MTV's shot-by-shot analysis
also assumes it is Greyback.)
Thanks to Tyler
for the Fenrir Greyback tip!

Great job Cheeser glad you were able to get this up! I don't want to look at the Avada Kedavra scene, but those Greyback shots are excellent. Thanks for the update.

This is really great work! Thanks Cheeser. :)
So, we can assume now that it is Fenrir Greyback in the trailer. I think the scene must be at the end of the film. After DD is murdered. I'm not watching the Avada Kedavra now either.

I think we can safely say that it is Greyback...he looks just like i imagined...
As for the Avada Kedavra...well its difficult to say...i mean its just a bright flash of light...cant reali see anything else behind it...but the background does look like the top tower at Hogwarts... (?) :-)

Me and my best friend thought that was Greyback too! I mean who else would be lurking in that tall grass? Harry was running, it just seemed fitting that it was a werewolf.

If you read through the Google cached Rotten Tomatoes page about the Avada Kavada curse, it's mentioned (and I would concur) that the shot is a reused shot from the end of GoF that just shows the bad things Lord Voldemort has done.
Also, I can't imagine that in shooting the death of a "certain major character" (as HPANA says) that they would be focusing on the spell caster as much as the look and reaction of the spell receiver. That's just my opinion though (since the character and their death is rather important).

Am pretty sure that is Greyback, that was the first though that flashed through my mind when i first watched the trailer.
However, i don't think that's Dumbledore dying. I think that's a flashback of some sort showing Cedric being killed. I could be wrong, but i really don't know why they'd show Dumbledore getting killed in the trailer. That's a bit much, don't you think?

Sorry for the double post, but that IS Cedric getting killed, not Dumbledore. I just watched a clip of it, and the background, green light and body shape is all the same. Not Dumbledore. Tis Cedric. :'(

I think it's Greyback, any other character doesn't really match to the scene, but I'm still not sure where to put it. Whereas the other scene, the three frames, I couldn't even find the as I watched the trailer in 1/16 of the original speed.
But I don't think it's the avada kedavra curse, wasn't it supposed to be green ? - And as far as I remember the curse was in the last movies always green and that is certainly blue (maybe a slight touch of green), well I could be mistaken but I thought the green had always been more intens.
It also seems to me that the scene doesn't occur on a tower but some kind of balcony, but the image is not very clear.
I try to get a closer look at it, the trailer is really fast in terms of the single frames.
Great work Cheeser, thanks for this interesting snipet of the trailer.

That is definitely Fenrir Greyback!! No doubt about it ... and there were things in the trailer that happened way too fast to catch, so I'm really glad that someone has gone to the effort to see the trailer frame-by-frame!

Wow, good work on this! I would never have noticed, he looks kind of like Filch from the side (ugly nose). Can't wait to see him full on.
As for the AK scene, I mean, it's no secret but I'm not sure they would put that footage in the trailer, it's very important. They may have re-used the footage as a montage (as other posters have said). That part in the trailer really scared me with LV's face. Very scary.
