According to the Daily Record
, a large, old fashioned printing press is being replicated for use in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
A 100-YEAR-OLD printing press is playing an important role in the making of the next Harry Potter
The 10-ton Cossar flat bed web newspaper press, said to be the only one in the world, has been used as a template by set designers who need one for a scene in The Deathly Hallows.
Owner David Phillips, from Crieff, Perthshire, was stunned when producers invited him to Leavesden Studios, near Watford, to help plan a replica model.
David said: "I have no idea what part it plays in the movie because the set in Watford was like Fort Knox, security was that tight."
This can somewhat confirm that Xenophilius Lovegood will make an appearance in the final installment of the series.

Very cool, it was really nice of this David Phillips to let them use his press to make a copy. I wouldn't think they'd use the original in case something happened to it during filming.
It'll look great in the film though.

Well, Xenohhilius HAS to be in the movie, I mean, because of him the whole plot of the 7th book wouldn't be the same. AND as i recall, the whole point of splitting the book into two movies was to make it more similar to the books.

Oh good, I like Xenophilius... and his name is so incredibly perfect, doesn't it mean something like "one who loves strange things"? ;-) The only thing that could make me happier is if we could somehow resurrect Marty Feldman to play him... he would have been BRILLIANT!

That was my first thought too. Luna's dad must be printing something of importance.
What gets me is the Fort Knox security around the sets. The fact that they are already being worked on and the scripts aren't even done yet. This will probably be in the first half.
I just hope they stick to the story and don't mess it up. I know, I keep saying that, but four and five were such big letdowns I don't have faith in six or seven. Time will tell.

Wow isnt this thing a bit big? Ive always imagined it to be way smaller, as it was in Lovegoods living room...but at least they are sticking to the book with having a printing press.
