A report has surfaced
online tonight, stating that Sirius' motorbike and the Deluminator featured in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will be used once more in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
This report comes from the fact that these two items have been removed from the WB Studio Tour
in Burbank, California, because it "had been recalled from the museum for filming commitments."
While this can't be confirmed, we can be fairly certain that these items will be used when filming for Deathly Hallows begins this February.

I'm glad they're using the Deluminator. And I'm SO glad they're making this book into two movies. So much more room for such little details. :)
And, by the way, I don't remember reading anything about Sirius' motorbike too.

Excellent! I know Warner Bros. are going to use them for sure. It plays a crucial part of the films and it's good that they are doing this.
For those of you who don't remember: the Deluminator was given to Ron as a Will from Albus Dumbldore. It's job is to suck up light. But secretly, it can transport you to places.
As for the motorbike, it used to belong to Sirius but later to Hagrid. In the DH book, it was used to fly away from Private Drive to the Tonks house. :)

Deluminator, at least now it has a name. Wasn't it called the 'puter outer' in the first book? I don't quite remember if that's right.
Why are they pulling them out of the exibit now if the filming doesn't start til February? Well, it will be good to see them used again.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

I'm glad! The Deluminator may look minor, but it's so integral to Ron and his demonstration that his emotional range is larger than a teaspoon!
And how they would film the beginning of the movie without the bike is beyond me. How else would Hagrid be escorting Harry away from Privet drive? And remember there're deaths in that part too =(

It would be interesting to see if they are used. Also, wonder how closely the movie will track the book. Maybe they will include material missing from earlier films.

COOL!!!!! I am soooo glad they are using these things again...because it pretty much confirms that certain scenes will be in the movie!!! They should be able to do most of the book since they are splitting it into two movies!!
"had been recalled from the museum for filming commitments." This made me laugh!!!!

Well, good. I wonder if they're going to add the sidecar rig mentioned in the book; seems it'd be easier to do without that. And hopefully they get the sound right this time — in the first movie, they had a Triumph sounding like a dive-bombing airplane. Just awful.
(Yeah, I'm a motorcycle nut.)
Does anyone else think the bit with the brick wall out of the tailpipe was a bit cartoony? Hopefully they'll come up with something better for the film. (No offense, JKR, but that was cheesy.)
