During the red carpet premiere for his upcoming film, Yes Man, David Heyman spoke briefly
about the film schedule for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
We finished the sixth film which'll be coming out next summer and we start filming the seventh which we'll be breaking into two parts for a 54 week shoot starting in February.
He also spoke about the experience of watching the young actors and actresses mature on set:

I cant wait for for the next two movies, they are going to be amazing. In the end, i think it will be much better to have the next film in the summer; we will not have to wait so long to enjoy these next 3 blockbusters (I hope!)

That was nice praise coming from him. It's very true too, he wasn't saying anything that all the fans don't already know. The three of them have not subcomed to the glitter aspects of stardom, and I feel confident that they will continue to follow the paths they are on and become shining examples of what todays youth can achieve.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

There are so many cases of young kids being damaged by the experience or going off the rails and fortunately with Dan, Rupert and Emma that hasn't happened to them... yet!
And here's hoping that doesn't happen to them EVER!

Interesting insights as always. A really long shoot schedule. It will take quite a bit of material to some things up. My guess is that they also want to film extra material for future DVD new cut releases as well.

Brilliant...But, the Deathly Hallows idea of making two parts should not be. It should of been done to all of movies before hand. This is why, the viewers/fans were upset in Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. When most of the parts and chapters of the books, as well as actors were cut off, because of the movie being too long.
This is why, by having The Goblet of Fire in two parts, Mrs Weasley would of been in the movie from the being to the end.
I believe according to my Crystal ball...WB will in the future revise all the Harry Potter Movies into two parts as they did with the Extra footage and Blue Ray.
Cheers!

I think splitting DH into two parts is a great idea. Its a very long story that can't be messed with. I think Part One should end when Ron Leaves and Part Two begins where that Chapter leaves off.
Also to the person above. I think the first three movies are fine as a one parter, however, from GOF on think they all should have been either three hours long or two parts.
The problem is it would take forever to make them. Think about this. Its going to take about ten years for them to finish all ten movies. Do you really want it to take twenty years to finish them.

I'm glad to hear that he thinks highly of the main characters. It's good to hear nice things about young adults. I'm also glad that DH will be filmed all together! It will make the 2 parts more fluid, I think.

Thats awesome. I can't wait till they start filming. Then we could get some pics from the set.
But on the other hand, this is the last one... maybe we should savor the moment, theres not going to be one like this again.

Can't wait!!! It's weird though that they're making two movies out of the 7th movie. I mean, it's going to take some getting used to. I wonder what the ending of the first one will be? "To be continued" or will just fade to black and roll credits? Hmm...
