Emma Watson recently spoke
with MTV about the split of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, as well as her feelings on wrapping up filming of the movies.
I don’t know. I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It’s a tough call. I’m sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger.
The delays of the next three films means that Watson will be saying a long goodbye to Hermione Granger, but she is emotional when it comes to leaving the character behind.
It’s really mixed feelings. It will be bittersweet. It will be very scary because it’s been such a massive part of my life. It will have been nearly over a decade that I’d been playing Hermione. It’ll be tough but I’ll be ready to go I think. I’ll be ready to take on other projects. It will be exciting.

It's always nice to hear from the actors and their views. But it kind of seems like they are given a script to answer interviews with. Maybe to protect them. :) I still love the trio.
I lwould also like to wish everyone a very Happy New year. :

Emma has had a rough time sticking through, I am so proud of her for doing it. I just really hope the trio doesn't break up before the movies are done, they are perfect for it. and I feel that the split of the two movies is a good/bad thing. It's good because there can be more information put into one. The bad thing is, that since so much information has already been left out, they might have too much to add at the last minute. I wish them the best of luck, and I am sure that it will be amazing.

Very nice to hear the point of view of the actors about the making of DH into two films. I agree with the statement that it will be some cruel cliff hanger between the two films. This was a very enjoyable interview.
Happy New Year!

I think, I know it will be a very mournful day for all the fans in all the world the day the Harry Potter movies are done filming. No more anticipating the 30 second teaser trailer for 9 months and planning your whole life around it. No more checking on to HPANA every 30 minutes just to make sure there aren't anymore new pictures. No more hosting movie-themed parties for the new releases and getting in the already long line at 8 o'clock for the new midnight release. No more premieres or HBO First Look's. No more plotting an entire two months of future interviews with the cast, sneak previews and random excerpts from the movie from t.v. networks in the States and the world over. No more international trailers that leave you writhing in excitement for 4 days even after you've seen it 50 times. No more but memories to share with your children and grandchildren about the magic that truly was (and forever will be for us fans) the Harry Potter films.

It's amazing to see how much she has matured since that bushy haired little know it all stomped across the screen in the Sorcers Stone. What a gorgeous young lady she has turned into.
I'm anxious to see what her next theatrical endeavor will be. She's so very talented.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Whata great interview! I know I'd be horribly sad to leave the part of Hermione Granger, and to leave that experience altogether. I'm dreading not having any more midnight release parties (I almost cried at the Deathly Hallows party!) and not having any new and exciting articles to read on HPANA, Mugglenet, etc. =(

I agree with the splitting up of dh; it will save the director from rushing the story and will therefore hopefully be much more loyal to the book. As for the cliffhanger, its not like we dont know what's going to happen. It'll be a sad day for all of us when the last movies is released, so it's kind of good in a way that it is going to be prolonged.

She is so right. This will be bittersweet. I love these movies and I am sure for the actors it will be a really hard chapter to close. I am excited about Deathly Hallows being two movies. It gives them more of a chance to get it right. One movie would have been to crammed with too much information.

Interesting comments.Indeed,it will be tough for Emma in saying goodbye to HP and Hermione. We practically associate her name to HP.However, some things in life has come to an end.Good thing for us,that DH will be split into two,so we have enough time to absorb and cherish the journey towards the last pages of DH.I do hope their gonna make it as the way the millions of fans expect it to be.Also I know for sure that Emma is gonna do great in her future career, looking forward in seeing her in more films.

I’m sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger.
My money is on Harry at the bottom of the pond, being choked by Salizar Slytherin's locket as he tries to get the sword of Godric Gryffindoor...
I'm glad they are doing two movies for DH. This way they can include more plot from the book.
Congratulations Emma!!!
Whether you go on to university and then persue a different career than acting, or go on acting, you will do well.
As far as your other work (that I am aware of), I haven't seen Ballet Shoes, but Tale of Desperaux was wonderfull!!

Expected, so where should they cut it?
The book is thirty-six chapters, so maybe between 18 and 19, which would be Harry reliving Voldemort's memory of the night James and Lily died. That cliffhanging enough?

There probably will indeed be a great cliffhanger ending the first half of DH. Emma, along with many other actors, have been in their roles for a significant time (it's gone by so fast!). As such a talented actress, she'll have no trouble finding others roles to take on.

It must be hard for all of the trio to think about what it will be like for them to leave HP and not have any more movies to do! I am sure it will be really sad!
