David Holmes, the Harry Potter stunt double whom recently was seriously injured in an accident on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has vowed to return to work despite concerns he may be paralyzed.
David wants to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes. And don't worry... the stunt-runt will be back.
In further news regarding the incident, representatives of Daniel Radcliffe have made a statement saying any comments between Mr. Holmes and Daniel will be kept private.

I'm confused... How can you think that someone is paralyzed when they are moving around and such? Are they saying that in the future he could be paralyzed?

Good to hear that David is still keeping his spirits high. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery.
As to what Daniel (or any other member of the HP team) has to say about David's condition - of course that should remain private. Firstly, it may jeapordise insurance and liability claims to discuss the incident publicly. Secondly, it is distasteful for people to even be asking. Thirdly, an individual's medical condition is always of private concern.

Kind of hard to read if it is good news or not. Kind of a confusing story. I just wish David the best and quick healing. It was horrible news. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

Time will tell of course. But it is nice to see that he is maintaining a positive attitude. That will go a long way. I am glad that DR is keeping things confidential.

I guess this means his injuries are less serious than the media said. I hate how the media starts to alarm all people without waiting for the doctors to actually say what happened.
I'm not saying it's not serious,I don't really know, but it looks like he will recover, and that's so great, I'm so happy for him, his family and friends.
Other thing I hate is how the media wouldn't let Dan in peace, always asking and asking, obviously they don't understand what privacy is.

Mar66, the concern was straight after the accident when he told the medics that he couldn't feel anything below his waist. I guess if he's temporarily paralysed he could still regain control? I hope so - or maybe I'm misreading it and he has done.

Um. No offence but how can he do it if he's paralysed?
