You're right, TheOtherMinister! I realise it may be that it is of course simply hidden, but I find the scar has been a bit downplayed. There's always been a fair bit of focus on it on the books, but that hasn't translated to the movies as much as it could have been.
Harry's scar sorta reminds me of the Ring of Power in the Lord of the Ring, it's so animated and present that it's like a character of it's own, and yet you don't get that type of feeling in the movies, not since Philosopher's Stone, anyway.

NNNO SCAR! And Dumbledores hand looks fine. although for that one they may have been saving it and building up the action for the last part of the movie, like a cliffhanger or a secret.I can't believe that they didnt even notice it before they releaded the posters. they dont even care any more. makes me soo mad...

TheOtherMinister says:
Exactly, and I think the scar is also important because regular people identify Harry with the scar. The people who casually watch the movies but are not really fans, they remember Harry as the wizard boy with a lightning shaped scar on his forehead. I usually don’t complain about movie mistakes, I understand how they have to cut scenes and chapters, but is it really that hard to draw that simple scar before they start a scene? I don’t think so.

This makes Dumbledore look more evil that the first ones did.
I like the shot of Dumbledore in Harry's round eye glases. Just that on a poster would be cool.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

Amazing graphics. They really do give a sense of the story. It must be fun to design these posters for the chance to tease an audience.

Yes the scar is there but its almost completely hidden! I dont like that one bit. I don't like the way the poesters look. I know its going to be scary and they need to look like they're on the defense but I think its over done!

I was glad to have seen the latest poster of the latest Harry Potter movie. They are great and made me more excited to wacth HBP. But on a closer look the slanting posters greatly reminds me of the Dargonball Revolution posters.

Hmmm ... they look like fan-made pictures to me. Not really what I was expecting after ALL THIS TIME!
Why are they slanted? And I agree with the previous posters as the scar seems to have practically disappeared (like Dumbledore's half-moon glasses, Dobby, etc.)!

Overall, I like the poster much better than the previous ones. Although he has a scar or not, I like the artistic skills and photography put into this. Blah, blah, blah. I can't wait for the DH posters more, actually.

I've noticed that Harry's scar has been seen less and less over the last three movies. I think at one point it was on the wrong side. Is it just me or did Daniel always have that chin dimpel?

Severus' Advocate says:
It's not there at all...it's gonna be in the movie, right? in these posters, they're still acting as their character and are meant to be dressed and made up completely like that character and how hard would it have been to put Harry's scar there? grrr.
I don't really like the posters. He use to look like Harry a bit when he had lots of messy hair but his hair is short here.

Also, they do look a little bit too photo-shopped. I agree about Dumbledore's hand. Did these people not read the books!?

Harry's an obnoxious kid with glasses and a SCAR! Now he's just an angry teen with glasses… And yeah, Dumbledore’s hand looks quite fine.
So here you have it: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince a.k.a. The film that had no scars (or curse marks for that matter)
