With the release of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie just a few months away news comes this morning of a review the video game attached to the movie.
Snippet from the review
:
Whatever it is that you crave from The Half Blood Prince, it certainly seems that First Light is trying to cover as many bases as possible. It's a massive understatement to say that Harry Potter is a huge licence, but after nine years of working on the series it seems as though the developer is more than comfortable with the young wizard and his chums. The game looks like it's coming together nicely; let's hope it does, because a lot of little voices are going to be clamouring for this come late summer.

Sounds like it'll be awesome! I've seen the games but I don't own any. I'd really like to have at least one though!

The Only Harry Potter game I owned was the first one or second one. I loved how you could explore the entire castle and the grounds as well. Is the series still like this?

Looks and sounds impressive. The graphics and effects get better and better with each addition. Can hardly wait for it, since they had more time with the movie delay.

I was under the assumtion that the game was already out. If the movie was ready for release in Nov. the game should have been also. I don't quite understand this. Well, it really makes no difference anyway because I don't have any of them or anything to play them on. Maybe someday.
Blessings! Hecate3fold!

The 5th one was great for the wii, it almost felt like you where actually holding a wand. It was also great how you could move about all the school grounds. I hope this one will be just as good or better.

I'm a little torqued that the review was for Wii as I only have PS2. I noticed that OOTP, even though it worked all right on PS2, I could tell it had mainly been designed for the Wii, XBox 360 and PS3. It was also rather annoying that I finished the narrative (OOTP) in a couple sittings but have yet to finish all the stupid running around trying to complete all the areas 100%. Actually, I enjoyed SS and COS (even though I can't get a full 100% on them either), but the best and most fun was POA. I have played that dozens of times and it never gets old. GOF on the other hand was a total mess. Hopefully HBP will be fun and will work just as well on PS2 because as much as I want a Wii, I'm stuck with PS2 and won't be upgrading my platform anytime soon. I just wish EA would combine the best parts of the previous games and include them in HBP. And I apologize if I totally geeked out there! I'm just really really picky when it comes to the Harry Potter video games!
