Zoë Wanamaker, who portrayed Madam Hooch in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, is up for one of London's most prestigious theatre awards. She has been nominated for Best Actress at this year's Laurence Olivier Awards. (And thanks to IHP for pointing out that Alan Rickman (Professor Snape) is in the list of nominees also, for his work in "Private Lives"!)

From The Globe and Mail: The Roman Catholic Board of Education has given the go-ahead for an investigation into whether it should continue to allow students to use Harry Potter books as part of school lessons.
