From The Seattle-Post Intelligencer comes this report:
Renton game maker Wizards of the Coast has filed a lawsuit against Charles Federline, former vice president of operations, alleging that he undermined the bidding process for print work on a "Harry Potter" trading-card game.
The suit, filed in King County Superior Court last month, alleges that Federline gave inside bidding information to PBM Graphics Inc., helping it secure a lucrative contract for "Harry Potter-Diagon Alley." After winning the contract, PBM was then instructed by Federline to submit a bid that increased the cost to Wizards of the Coast by more than $93,000, the suit says.
From Gamers.com: "The Harry Potter phenomenon started in book form, moved to film last year, and is now just getting its footing in the game world. PSone and Game Boy Advance titles relating to the first book/movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, have already been released. The real push, though, comes this November when the first wave of next-generation games launches." (Thanks to TWW for the link.)
