I wish - I really, do - we could just come out with the number, tell you how much we've raised. But I think you'd rather we don't cost us the auction, right? So - here's some more info to keep you updated. I spoke with Sotheby's this morning, and sent them all the necessary documentation to set up our bid. I will be on the telephone during the auction, bidding on our behalf. That's all I know at the moment. That, and we're in strong contention for the card. Oh, yeah, and every time I speak with someone at Sotheby's, I catch one of those magical 3 people who've seen and read the card - and they just looooooove teasing me about it. :-) Seriously - evilness is going on. I can see it now. "OH! The Leaky Cauldron's on the phone! Quick, someone, tantalize that poor editor about the card..." Heheh. They're tricky, those auction people. Alright. We can tell it's late and Melissa is just babbling at this point - so I am going to bed and waiting for the wrath of the Sotheby's people, which will surely be in my inbox in the morning... (Have I mentioned they're also really nice? Okay. Night.)
