Last month, Verne Troyer
and model Genevieve Gallen announced their engagement - but less than three weeks later, it appears they've changed their minds. Looks like it's splitsville for the unlikely couple.
Certainly the pictures seemed to show a couple in love. At film premieres, Genevieve Gallen was snapped looking every bit as proud as if she had turned up with Brad Pitt.
No matter that Mini Me star Verne Troyer barely reached her kneecaps.
Recently they got engaged, but when the news leaked out last week it was widely seen as a marriage made in Hollywood rather than heaven. After all, Verne - star of the hugely-successful Austin Powers films - is just 32 inches high. And Genevieve is a striking 5ft 9ins in her heels.
Now the Mirror can reveal that, after a tempestuous three-year relationship, the unlikely pair have split. But even though the rest of the world never took it seriously, the 29-year-old model says she can't face life without Verne, 34.
No word on whether or not the bachelor's party at Gringott's was cancelled...

OHHH i had no idea he had anything to do with the first movie wowie well they did make an odd couple but opposites attract!!I am glad they split if one of them wasnt sure they wanted to be married its a good thing they found out now instead of having to go threw a nast lenghthy divorce!

It's kind of depressing, but, not all that surprising. I know it's stereotypical, but I don't think celebrity marriages really last all that long. I suppose some do, but on a whole... But still, it is kind of sad that they never really even got married or anything.

It is sad but I'm inclined to agree with the whole celebrity relationship thing. They don't seem very good at picking the right person.

I'm glad that you guys cleared it up for me, because I didn't realize he was Griphook either. Now I know why this article was on this site. Sad to see another couple falling out of love. So many people get together for all of the wrong reasons, and also the pressure of Hollywood can get to anyone, even the strongest couples.

I didn't realise Verne played Griphook. I remember thinking who plays him or is it a puppet. When I saw the article I was like 'huh?' and then with the joke about the Gringotts Bank, then someone said he played Griphook and I was like ahhhhh...cool!
