At the beginning of the month we told you of a special airing of "American Idol" featuring stars from "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," as well as other well know actors and singers. The show aired last night and tonight, benefiting CPEF, and as some of you have pointed out Dan did not appear as expected. We do however have video of Helena and other stars lip-syncing to the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive."

Daniel Radcliffe and Helena Bonham Carter from the "Harry Potter" movies, as well as other well known actors will appear (some via video) on a special broadcast of the show titled "American Idol Gives Back." Appearing with Dan and Helena will be Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Forest Whitaker, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Bono and Rowan Atkinson to name a few.

As exclusively reported by HPANA back in April, composer Nicholas Hooper is set to write the music for director David Yates' "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," it was announced by Warner Bros. in a press release today. Helena Bonham Carter, who replaces Helen McCroy as Bellatrix Lestrange, was also confirmed.

James Walters is to be Young Sirius, James Utechen will play a Young Lupin and Alec Hopkins will portray Young Snape in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," it was reported today by CBBC Newsround. Helena Bonham Carter will replace Helen McCrory as Bellatrix Lestrange, as McCrory now expects to be "heavily pregnant" during what would have been her filming. Professor Grubbly-Plank will be played by Apple Brook. Finally, Jason Piper will play Bane the Centaur.
