Unsuspecting Harry Potter fans awoke today to find their favorite sites and communities overrun with tomfoolery, in celebration of April Fool's day. The event has become a stalwart tradition in the HP fandom.
Sites who joined in the fun today include:
, who's playing the part of Tom the innkeeper (of the actual Leaky Cauldron, no less!) in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Tom (a.k.a. Jim) posted throughout the day wondering what all these people were doing in his pub, chatting incessantly about Harry Potter. They were also able to promote Jim's upcoming marathon in support of the British Dyslexia Association.
, which would be a combination of BBC's The Office and include cast members from the Harry Potter films.
, where customers could order from a full spectrum of offerings from the Harry Potter-financed operation. Very well-done.

THAT WAS NOT FUNNY!!!!!!!! I'm so mad! I only started getting on here like 2 months ago so I didn't get it and I thought they changed the whole site into a stupid joke. I WAS SOOOOO PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!! That makes me so mad!!!!!!!!!!! AGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! I didn't even find out until I went to mugglenet and they had a post saying the whole PNN thing was a joke!!!!! THAT WAS DEFFINETLY NOT FUNNY!!!!!! I'll be ready for it next year though HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The prank...well i didn't like it...neat...but the links where a big disappointment. I clicked on the 'video' options about five times until i realized they where nothing but dead links.
April fools is not a good day for me.

At first, i was so furious when i couldn't get into this site! i swear! i was like, what happened? pnn? what about my daily dose of HP news? It was all too silly since the links did not work on pnn. And i went to Mugglenet and in fact i had to find myself being led back to pnn! it was crazy! and i also saw tha potter puppet pals too. at first, i didn't get what the whole site was all about so i still had to go through the posts just to get their hitch. Anyway, it was indeed some kind of an april fool's day for anyone who gets online to check on anything harry potter-ish only to find themselves going round and about the net and simply finding themselves going back to pnn. I swear i almost freaked out!

Yeah, I certainly got fooled big time. I hadn't been here for a while and when I came back I thought it had gone, I got all depressed until I remebered what day it was and went to google to get in the back way and it was fine. I got scared for a minute though coz I love this site so much. LUcky :)

Uh...not funny! How rude. I had no clue what was going on. I actually thought the PNN site was pretty neat and really real and stuff. But then I realized you couldn't post, do anything and there were hardly any articles, I freaked out. I'll know next year!
