Cast complete for 'HBP,' young Riddle named

WIth filming currently underway for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie, news comes this morning of the complete cast list
for the movie. Ralph Fiennes's nine-year-old nephew, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, will be playing the role of young Tom Riddle at age 11, while 16-year-old Frank Dillane is playing the teenage Riddle.

Additionally, several young newcomers will be making their feature film debuts in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Jessie Cave has won the role of Lavender Brown, who has eyes for Ron Weasley. Nine-year-old Hero Fiennes Tiffin is playing the role of young Tom Riddle at age 11, while 16-year-old Frank Dillane is playing the teenage Riddle, who is already on the path to become the evil Lord Voldemort.
You may remember that back in October it was rumored that Ralph's nephew would play a young Tom Riddle.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be released on November 21, 2008.

Great news! They've got a new director of photography, too. I hope that he does well. I got curious about Stuart Craig, the production designer of all the HP movies. Goodness! He's already won several awards, including 3 Oscars, and he got nominated for Goblet of Fire. No wonder the sets used in the HP films are really good.

Although I was most interested in who Lavender was, it's great to know that everyone is now on board and we know who everyone is. The Fiennes family has good acting genes so I'm sure 11 year old Tom Riddle will do well.

Great. I had been waiting to hear who would be cast as young Tom Riddle and seeing that it will be Ralph Fiennes nephew I am sure he will do well. I have no idea who Frank Dillane is, but I am sure he will do fine as well. Can't wait to get some pics of the newest members of the cast.

Superb news. Its very nice to hear that ralph fienne's nephew would be casted as young tom riddle. I would be more happy if their pics were also available. It would be so nice to see how the young and teenage voldemort will look like. But thats ok i think they will post their pics later. Waiting for the movie as well as the pics.

Wish they were bringing the old teenage Riddle back, though. Just another inconsistancy for the movies. *sigh* And he was so cute, too... Like a young Jimmy Fallon...

Nice to see the complete staff. It should be interesting to see how the riddle character appears compared to the earlier Chamber of Secrets version. They have to handle all the permutations.

I am interested to see how the various young Tom Riddles do, though WB/David Heyman have had HUGE sucess in picking their young actors in the past so I can't imagine them going wrong here.
Very interesting that Ralph Fiennes' nephew will be playing the 11-year-old Riddle. Evil (-liciously amazing acting!) must run in their family!
