WB releases 'HBP' screenplay; announces awards push
Warner Brothers has released the full "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" screenplay on their website in anticipation of the upcoming awards season. This coming along with the news that numerous categories have been submitted for consideration by WB.

An additional video from the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD has appeared online. The piece called "The Pitfalls of Teenage Love" has been released on iTunes and YouTube and includes interviews with various cast members.

Deleted scene featuring Snape from 'HBP' released on YouTube
In one month's time the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD will be released in the U.S., and to wet fans appetites a deleted scene from the movie featuring Snape has been released on YouTube.

ABC Family to preview 'HBP' & exclusive footage during 'Potter' weekend
Once again ABC Family will be showcasing "Harry Potter" movies during their annual '25 Days of Christmas' schedule. The first four movies will be broadcast during the December 4th - 6th weekend, just before the release of the "Half-Blood Prince" DVD on December 8th as well as exclusive footage from 'Creating the World of Harry Potter' and an advanced look at the 'Close Up with the Cast' piece with. Evanna Lynch.

'Deathly Hallows'

'Harry Potter' ultimate edition DVD's announced
Following the report that "Harry Potter" extended editions were expected to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray, we can now confirm that this is indeed the case, with all eight films set to be released as "Ultimate Editions," and "Sorcerer's Stone" and "Chamber of Secrets" set for a release date of December 8.

Yesterday we announced when the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD would be released in the U.S. and France, now we can tell you that the DVD will be released on December 7th in UK.

'Half-Blood Prince' DVD to be released on Dec. 8 in U.S.
Warner Home Video has officially announced that the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" DVD will be released in the U.S. on December 8th. As expected the DVD will be released in 1-disc DVD, 2-disc DVD, and 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo formats. Update: The DVD will be released in France on November 18th.

'HBP' & actors up for SpikeTV SCREAM awards
The fourth annual nominations for the SpikeTV SCREAM Awards were recently announced and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" as well as actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Evanna Lynch and Helena Bonham Carter were nominated.

Update: 'HBP' takes in $396.7 in worldwide ticket sales; breaks international IMAX record
In its first five days in domestic release in the U.S., "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" grossed $158 million, while having the biggest overseas opening of all time with $237 million worth of tickets sold. Update: To add to the amount of the money that the movie has taken in, it also broke a record by taking in $3.6 million from 62 international IMAX theaters.

Update: Opening day tally for 'HBP' is $104 million
Upon opening Wednesday, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" raked in $58.18 million in the U.S. ($22.2 million at midnight) and another $45.85 million internationally, for a one-day grand total of $104 million, plus a couple of new records.

Nicholas Hooper, composer of the last two "Harry Potter" film scores, is leaving the franchise, says a reliable member of JWFan's forums (a John Williams fan site) and contributor for Film Score Monthly. "He told me that the films have put too great a strain on his family life," said the contributor Maestro.

'Half-Blood Prince' grosses $22.2 million at midnight
The juggernaut that is "Harry Potter" continues to take in money at U.S. box offices. With the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie opening in movie theaters across the country last night ticket sales have soared, so much so that the movie had the biggest midnight gross of all-time in earning $22.2 million on Wednesday.
