MIDDLE EAST (PNN) -- Just as the year's big traveling season is about to kick-off, floo powder is becoming more expensive than ever before.
Last week the cost of floo powder broke a 14-year record, topping seven sickles a gram, and the price isn't supposed to stop climbing anytime soon.
Many have called for the Ministry to step in and do something as quickly as possible, including halting the increase of the emergency stockpile.
"I can't keep doing this! My family won't be able to visit our relatives in Bedford this summer because of the cost," local resident Madam Marsh complained recently. "A magical carpet it out of the question because of the Registry of Proscribed Charmable Objects and my children are too young to apparate yet. We have no other options."
When asked about the Knight Bus, she declined to comment.
The Floo Network Authority and FPEC have also declined comment on the increasing prices. The Department of Magical Transport was contacted for this story but they did not return calls seeking an interview by press time.
