MINISTRY OF MAGIC (PNN) -- Former Hogwarts High Inquisitor Dolores Umbridge has been given permission by the Ministry of Magic to testify in support of Minister Cornelius Fudge's claims that Voldemort has a cache of "imminently deployable" curses of mass destruction (CMDs).
At an earlier Ministry hearing, whistleblower Percy Weasley said that the "befuddled" administration ignored warnings from Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore that Voldemort had returned to power and did not act to prevent it in a timely manner.
The Ministry of Magic said Wednesday that Voldemort had enlisted the support of zealous students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, under the supervision of Dumbledore, in an attempt to overthrow the Ministry.
"The Fudge administration clearly did not see the writing in the tea leaves and deliberately set their sights on Professor Dumbledore when there was no evidence he was doing any wrong," said divination expert Sybill Trelawney. "They weren't looking beyond."
Fudge has been criticized for aggressively insisting that Dumbledore was trying to usurp his position as prime policymaker in the wizarding community.
